When you sign up for Daily Listen, we collect your email address and the topic preferences you select. If you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect billing information through our payment processor (Stripe) — we never store raw card numbers.
We also collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used solely for security and performance monitoring.
2. How we use your information
- To generate and deliver your personalized news podcast
- To send you episode notifications (only if you opt in)
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To improve the quality of our news curation and AI narration
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data to serve you advertising.
3. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal compliance.
4. Cookies
We use a single first-party session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics that track you across other websites.

We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase — Database and authentication hosting
- Stripe — Payment processing
- AWS S3 — Audio file storage
- Anthropic / OpenAI — AI content generation (no personal data shared)

7. Security
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data in transit. Data at rest is encrypted by our hosting providers. We conduct regular security reviews and follow responsible disclosure practices.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Daily Listen after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
